Trek Travel have just released their One destination cycling series. Guests stay at one luxury base for the entire cycling tour without having to change hotels daily. This is a great tour format, and easily how I would plan my own vacation.
At the end of March the Cycling Tour Hub blog will turn two years old. It has continued to gain a small but loyal readership, even though I shamefully allowed things to go dormant for a period of time while living in Australia. New for 2015, the Giro d’Italia is now licensing Official Tour Operators. With as many companies offering tours around the Giro as they do around the Tour, this is a more than logical step.
The two official tour operators for the Giro are also two of the companies doing officially licensed tours for the Tour de France: Custom Getaways and Sports Tours International. Tours cater to both cyclists and spectators. Each offer trips to the first week in Liguria and last week in the Alps and Milan.
The Tour de France did their official 2015 route presentation this week. Now it’s time for all the tour companies to get their Tour de France trips in place. You can expect details of these tours to be released in the upcoming months. While many cycling tour companies do trips built around following the Tour each year, there are only 6 companies that are Tour de France Official Tour Operators, as designated by the ASO.

Many companies offer winter cycling tours or training camps in warmer European regions.
