The Tour de France had their official 2018 route presentation a few weeks ago. Trip planners for all the major tour companies have been working hard to get their Tour de France trip itineraries in place. Many cycling tour companies do trips built around following the Tour. But only 6 companies are Tour de France Official Tour Operators, in partnership with the ASO.
Trek Travel have just released their One destination cycling series. Guests stay at one luxury base for the entire cycling tour without having to change hotels daily. This is a great tour format, and easily how I would plan my own vacation.
This removes one of the major stresses of a cycling tour – having to pack and unpack your luggage and gear each day.
It’s officially the season for cycling tour guide recruitment and hiring. All the major companies are accepting applications for guides and trip leaders for the 2014 season.
